Kayla and I met in college when we took the same class. We had to meet up outside of the class to go over our work and we got paired up. We met up one day and just started chatting about life and the work we had to do for the class. At that time, I didn’t have a job and was just donating plasma for money. I got deferred for two weeks because I had a fever and so I was running low on funds lol. I told Kayla about it and how I needed to figure something out soon as I was supposed to pick up a friend from salt lake a few days later. We just laughed about how I was a broke college student and I would make something work. We continued on with the conversation and I thought nothing of it. Later that day I received a notification from Venmo and to my surprise it was $25 from Kayla, this sweet soul who I had just met sent me gas money so I could go pick up my friend.
This simple and seemingly small act of service formed one of the greatest friendships yet. Fast forward 2ish years, Kayla graduated and I moved back to Nampa and she was moving here. She already had a nice little set up renting a room in a house with a few other girls. We started hanging out weekly and spending a ton of time together and I begged her to come be my roommate. With some convincing of how much fun we would have, she finally caved and moved in.
She was there through all the heartbreaks, first dates, and all things life. She was there to take photos when Brody proposed to me & was one of my bridesmaids at my wedding and now she’s the best auntie to my sweet baby Payton. I feel so honored to be able to capture the most special time in her life. She found the one she wants to spend her life with. She deserves the world and Ty gives her just that <3
